Today   was   a great   day   because   I    got     to     compare    sharks    &    whales    it    was  cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SJDJ 

Today was awesome because we got to watch a movie called Ocean Drifters!!!JALR

I think the Ocean Drifters video was fun to watch and very cool!!!! JPKG

I liked the Venn diagram because it’s really fun . And I also liked when we did compare whales and sharks cause it was cool. And I liked when we did the movie OCEAN DRIFTERS because it was fun and long . And I liked NIM game #5 because we found patterns and we like finding patterns and we even found the pattern which  is (,3,4,5,6,7)JJJJJJJJJ awesome.CJD

I liked comparing sharks and whales because you got to look in books and find research and then you had to write the information down in a Venn  diagram I thought it was fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!J BEO

I LOVED the NIM game#5 because I loved to choose numbers

The secret number was obviously it was seven and less and I am starting to see a pattern in the NIM games one,two,three,four and five were having the pattern .JJJ JS

The Under The Sea IMAX  movie/video was disturbing and funny at the same time, the sea lions were soooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!! JPKG

 The NIM game #5 was REALLY FUN!!!!! I had to take 1,2,3 or 4.The magic number is 6 and lower.JS

My favorite part of the day was the Halloween parade because I thought it would be like my regular school but this one was a lot better because it was just parent’s taking pictures!!!! JSP

I liked What Shall We Bring because you have to get six things. IFH                                                          

I liked What Shall We Bring because you got to color and  we had to only pick 6 things I picked I need my stuffy ,clothes, tooth brush and tooth paste, cell phone, hair brush, shoes  all that In a bag. BEO

I liked when we did What Shall I Bring? Because it was really fun and I liked Magic Show Logic because it was very exciting and very easy .And I liked Sacks of Potatoes and Toothless Babies because it was very hard and I like hard things. And I also liked the NIM game because it was really fun. I also liked when we did the landform stories because there were people that had exciting pieces.CJD

I liked reading Junie B Jones because it was fun to read. And she is very funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!RJJ

The thing I liked the most is alphabetical order name game because we had everybody’s first and last names and someone  had to put them all in alphabetical order. It was very hard and cool!!!! I also liked  Junie B. Jones because Junie B. Jones thought that a fish stick was a pet and her teacher said it was a pet it was really funny..The NIM game was pretty cool to and was odd because you had to grab 1 or 2  sticks and whoever  grabbed the last stick lost. The thing I liked most today in gifted was the Halloween Mystery Picture because it was hard to do and very FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!RJJ

I liked Halloween Mystery Picture because we had to color and figure out what the picture was. I also liked Thinking, Legs and Action Lines because there was questions and we had to figure them out. I also liked the Mirror Game because we had a partner and you or your partner had to do something slow and the other person had to do the exact same thing at the exact same time then we switched. RMS  

Headway was really fun when I was drawing IH’s back head and the Mirror Game was kind of fun when I was pretending to be the mirror.JSP      

 I  liked Mystery Picture. It was fun .CCJ

I like contour shoe drawing because you can make your own design . Music Box was fun. IFH

I loved contour shoe drawing  because I liked to cut out all the shapes and I also loved Music Box too. It was a lot of fun!BEO

I liked Contour Shoe Drawing because we took off our shoes and drew them. Then we cut out shapes to make shoes and glued it to a piece of colored construction paper.RMS

I liked when we did Music Box because it was really fun and we got to make noise which is really fun and very loud. I liked when we did contour shoe drawing because it was very fun because I like sketching and cutting and tracing because it is very fun and very creative and it is fun to draw on construction paper and to cut it out and make stuff creative.CJD

OCTOBER 3 BLOGS

I  LIKE  EDGED  OUT . IT  WAS  FUNNY   AND   CRAZY.  I  LOVE   GIFTED . CCJ

Word Mix Up was fun because you didn’t get to unscramble the words you had to put them in alphabetical order! Edged Out was different because you had to finish the picture you got .I LOVE GIFTED!!!!!!!!:) PG

I thought  that Thinking With Shapes was kind of interesting  making pictures with shapes. JS

I enjoyed Edged Out because you get to finish the picture and it is very very fun. NSM

I enjoyed Edged Out because we got a picture and we glued it to are paper and we finish the picture in the way we wanted it, it was realy cool liked it.RMS

We   played   Crash. It   was   fun. Then   we   did Puzzling Squares   and Scrambled   Eggs.    It   was challenging   for    every one    Babysitting for Tommy   was easy! SJD

My favorite thing we did in gifted was Crayon Quilt number two.RJJ

My favorite thing was the Crayon Quilt because it was really fun and colorful.CJD

I like Crash and Landform Stories.  The cool thing was Puzzling Squares.JJS

I liked the Island and Lake Thing and I liked to shape all the sand.  Me and IH made a island. JS and IH made the lake. I liked to shape and feel the sand I loved it. It was fun. BEO

Crash was fun because some people got in the wrong number group than they were supposed to get in.PKG

I like Crash it is exciting  and tempting  and you always  want   to  win  and when  I had to sit down  I thought,  “Man.”    CCJ                                                                        

I liked Crayon Quilt because we had a piece of paper and we had to color the whole piece of paper it was so fun. I liked Puzzling Squares because we drew things and we didn’t know what we were drawing until our teacher told us to add things to them and then we knew what we were drawing. RMS 

In Crash it was really fun. I had to find a group that has enough people to get in the group. I tried to make funny stories in Landform Stories. JS

I liked Crayon Quilt because you can do whatever you want to do. IHF

Our September 19th Blog

I liked Crayon Quilt because we got to draw cool designs and got to draw our names it was really cool.RMS

I liked the Crayon Quilt because it was fun and mine only had 5 colors: orange, red, green ,tan, yellow. I made my design my whole name. BEO

I LIKE EARTH DAY LOGIC BECAUSE  IT  WAS FUN AND COOL.  CCJ

I liked it when we got to make a part for a quilt. Mine had the American flag in it. It looked really pretty. ALR

I liked Silly Letters because I did something very alike last year. Crayon Quilt was fun because I love to draw, Take Aways, Triangles and Rain was easy.  NSM.

I liked going outside because I got to go with my great aunt .  I also liked Crayon Quilt because we got  to make cool designs with different colers   LKH

I liked when we played word-ball it was really fun. I also liked crayon quilt. I love to draw. JS

I liked Crayon Quilt because I did something that I had never done .Word-Ball was fun because the ball was in your mind.Silly Letters  was fun because the letters where fun to draw. PKG

I liked Word Ball because it was fun. And I liked when we went outside because got to play with the third graders and with the jump rope and we got to do crayon quilt because if you get to see the beautiful colors and it is so cool. Now were playing Screamer and its really loud and its hurting my ears and my teacher is playing  a game with  the kids her name is Ms.Stansel  and she really fun and cool and she is a funny teacher.CJD

I like when  we play Screamer  and crayon quilt and  crystals  when  I saw them I felt like I wanted to  scream. SJD

The crystals that we did was really fun and I got to see how you can really make crystals. Action Reaction was fun. Screamer was kind of cool, except everyone had to scream. SDJ

I liked how we did the snowflakes and it made it really easy for the cutting and the folding. It was really fun. I made ones with triangles and circles and ones with pieces missing. I liked the Macaroni Mystery how we got to make all the letters and make the words. Instead of writing words we made letters. BEO

It was fun. Making crystals was fun to look at and it was cool. CCJ

I liked Blind Contour drawing because got to look at people but we couldn't look at our paper and we drew people.RMS

What I liked about the crystals that you can do your own design. I like Macaroni Mystery because you have to try and figure the words out.IFH

I liked Blind Contour drawing because it was really difficult and it was really fun. And I also liked Categories, it was just really fun because you got to see how many people liked different colors. I also liked the crystals because it's fun to observe how crystals grow. And Macaroni Mystery was fun because if you didn't write the right answer you didn't get the correct work. NSM

I liked the crystals because some crystals grew faster than others, you just didn't get to see all of them you only saw some of them. I liked Categories because it made you think and you got to learn about other people. I liked Blind Contour Drawing because it was challenging because you couldn't lift your markers off the paper or take your eyes off anyone. I liked when we made the snowflakes because we didn't just get one kind we made lots of kinds. PKG

I liked when we did our Action Reaction because it was really fun and funny. It was also fun because we got to choose what the other player was going to do. I liked when we made snowflakes because I like snowflakes and I liked when we make crystals because I like crystals and we got to watch the crystals that our teacher put in our pie pans and I liked when we played Categories because we get to know what's the other people's favorite stuff and I liked when we played the Screamer game because it was really funny. It was really funny when the people screamed because some people screamed funny. I liked when we got to go outside because I like playgrounds. CJD

I liked the when we made the Blind Contour Drawings. It was fun. It was like you were blindfolded. I like Macaroni Mystery because you had a mystery to solve. I liked Categories because you had to get in groups. I liked the crystals and snowflakes. We got to make them. I like to Blog because you get to go on the Internet and tell things about your day at Gifted. JJS

I like when volcano erupted because it was very interesting. I would like to see it again. It was very cool. CCJ

Today was a special day because it was the first day of gifted. I liked letter tricks because you got to stack letters and in the other classes you don't get to. I liked the cue ball because you can learn about other people. JJS

I like the cue ball because you learned something about other people that you didn't know before. I liked in letter tricks how it was a challenge to figure out what letter fit on top of another. What I liked about Doodle Art is that you can do your own creation with lines and dots. I liked the experiment because you get to see what happens if you are right or wrong. IFH

I like cue ball because you always had a surprise question. I liked letter tricks because it was really fun to figure out which letters fit on the letter below them. I liked Doodle Art because you got to draw whatever kind of lines you want. I liked Hill of Fire because you can imagine that you were near the volcano. I like the experiment because I have never done this before and it was new to me. PKG

I like how almost every spot has lines. ALR

I liked doing Doodle Art because it was a chance for me to know my creativity. I like letter tricks because we had to find out ways for all of the letters to be in the trick. I liked Hill of Fire because we got to learn about all the different things lava can do, good and bad. I liked the experiment because I really like to help. I also liked the experiment because it was fun to do it again. NSM

I liked Doodle Art because I liked to draw and I didn't get to draw last year. JPS

Welcome to second grade gifted resource! I can't wait to meet you on Monday, August 29. This is where we will be sharing ideas about what we have learned and ideas about what we think. You can share this with your parents as well! I am working on projects with weather and rocks! I have a great rock collection you'll see this year. I can't wait to get started!
